Job Description

We are looking for an SEM Manager to join our Toronto team. This intermediate-level position will involve assisting with the strategy and implementation of SEO projects for Data Made Human’s clients. Working directly with our SEM Lead Strategist, this role will require managing both organic and paid search assignments for our regional and national clients.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, deploy, and manage successful SEM strategies.
  • Research and analysis of intent-based searches to help inform strategies and forecast trends.
  • Supervise and optimize SEM efforts, simultaneously considering SEO implications.
  • Optimize channel content to support SEO efforts across websites, social, forums, blogs etc.
  • Direct off-page optimization projects (e.g. backlink creation).
  • Reporting and analysis on traffic, rankings and other SEO data signals.
  • Work with social media and PPC teams to optimize campaigns.
  • Create and present reports to account team and clients.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as SEO Manager, SEM Manager or alike.
  • Knowledge of SEO best practices.
  • Working knowledge of HTML/CSS.
  • Experience and proficiency with reporting.
  • Familiarity with relevant tools (e.g. SEM Rush, Moz, etc.) and web analytics tools (e.g. Google Analytics, WebTrends, etc.).
  • Proficiency with analytics & other BI tools.
  • General technical proficiency with popular online platforms, including but not limited to: Google Slides, Google Docs, and Google Sheets, as well as the Microsoft Office suite.
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
  • Highly organized and a self-starter.
  • Ability to work independently and solve problems.
